About DJ MERCI

DJ Merci is the main alias of Louis Lainé, a French producer and multi-instrumentalist living in Berlin, Germany.

Growing up playing piano, he fell in love with jazz at a very young age.

While producing, he looks back to the pioneering spirit of his favourite musicians like Thelonious Monk, Leroy Burgess, Larry Levan or Masters at Work for his inspiration, and intent on transporting you with him on some distant planet where futuristic melody and harmony sit on top of funk-filled grooves.

These swung and sensuous vibes spun 100% on wax expand and export your spirit while bubbling grooves trickle into a steady stream of smooth and steamy tunes.
